There is still time to register for Safe Haven Family Shelter’s annual fundraiser the ‘Hike for the Homeless’.  If you are familiar with Safe Haven you know of its commitment to keeping families together during the hardest of times.  This past year they Safe Haven expanded its footprint by almost double to help even more families.  One of its largest fundraisers is this hike at Edwin Warner Park on Saturday, November 2.

You may register as a single participant, join an existing team, or create your own team.  The goal is to raise monies through pledges for your walk.  There are two trails in this beautiful park, 2.2 and 3.1 miles.  There are elevations and it is a workout, but the pace is your own.  You’ll be among families, school groups, civic groups, and business groups walking together with one goal.  As you progress you will learn humbling facts about the homeless in our city and country. Please consider joining.
