Usually when we get previously enjoyed kitchen or bathroom cabinets we call the Habitat For Humanity ReStore for a pick up so they can sell the items in their store to help fund new builds. Sometimes the cabinets have been enjoyed a little too much and instead of taking them to the dump we will remove the doors for our friends at The Painted Dragonfly. Lorna and Susan, owners of The Painted Dragonfly located within The Tanner House in Nolensville, TN, offer a lovely array of gifts including furniture they have repaired and repainted (using paints from The American Paint Company line of all natural, zero VOCs clay, chalk, and mineral based paints.) The doors will be used as demos in the classes Lorna and Susan teach. I am excited to see what transformation happens to these tired, old doors.
